Hi!! My name is Lauren Bruce and I am lucky enough to call myself the new Outreach Coordinator for Love Global!! Basically, my job involves getting in contact with missionaries and seeing how Love Global can help them with communication and fundraising...a pretty sweet way to spend my summer!!!
A little about me...I was born in Oxford, England and grew up in London before moving to White Rock, BC in 2004. 8 years later it pains me to say that I have no longer have a cool accent :( I am going into my 4th year at UBC's Sauder School of Business, studying business with a major in marketing.
Outside of school my passion is church ministry. I attend Peace Portal Alliance Church in Surrey and I have been a youth leader there for 2 years now, leading an amazing group of grade 10 girls through their accomplishments, struggles and spiritual journey. Missionary works also holds a huge part of my heart and I work very closely with an orphanage of 54 children that my church founded in Uganda. This July will be my 3rd trip over there, loving the kids and serving in the surrounding community.
So I am so excited to join the Love Global team and combine my marketing education with my passion for serving God through missionary work.
