As I sit here typing this it is FINALLY pouring rain and has been for several hours. It is the longest and most it has rained here since the first week of May. So may crops have struggled and died. Lossing vital food is painful to see. I have been very blessed to have been able to keep the trees I have already aquired at NEHLM (Nord Est Haiti Lutheran Mission) where we can pump water every day from the well to ensure they survive through the summer. Timing is everything for the planting on the 3 acres especially if the well is not dug yet. This dry spell is definately reinforcing the fact that the well has to get in as soon as possible in order to help everything florish. We are budgeting $3000.00 for the well and as soon as all the funds are raised we will begin!
